Aika Online (US) CBT experience

Currently I'm playing Aika Online (US), the english version. The game has just recently entered Open Beta, 2 days ago and I'm leveling away.. hehe~

My close beta test experience was fun. ^^ Managed to meet new and old friends in-game and was enjoying the group party again. I usually get hooked on grind-based MMORPG and this is one of the few quest-based MMORPG that I got hooked on~ XD

Like i mentioned in the previous post, I played the Dual Gunner. After playing it for a while, I understand why a lot of people ditched the Dual Gunner class in CBT2. The Dual Gunner bullets eats away your in-game gold like a hole in the pocket. And its really a pain to play the Dual Gunner compared to the Rifleman, its male counterpart. But the boobie mechanics was... *thumbs up!* really, really nice... and the dancing emote was *smirks* "nice" too. hehe~ *coughs* seriously.. *whistles away*

Aika Online (US) CBT experience
- Aika CBT: This is my Dual Gunner -

Hehe~ I stick to playing the Dual Gunner in Open Beta, even though the low level suxors. But! when you get to high level, the Dual Gunner is quite good. The end game build is a good killer and i'd say that it feels like you're playing a totally different class compared to the earlier levels..

Aika Online (US) CBT experience
- Aika CBT: This is my lovely, yet annoying pran -

Ah~ the Pran system is really nice.. I had my pran when i hit level 7.. I have a love & hate relationship with my pran.. the developers of the game really made a great game feature out of the pran system.. Hehe~ I didn't get the chance to level up my pran to teenage-hood so I really dunno how my pran will turn out to be. Huhu~ Missed that part of the game during CBT, so I hope i'll get to experience my teenage pran soon~ *can't wait*

Aika Online (US) CBT experience
- Aika CBT: Warping into Regenshein -

Everyone starts at Regenshein in no matter which nation you pick. When you reach level 10, you can pick up the nation quest at town and join a nation. I picked Feonir, for a lot of reasons. :P Oh~ and those drops you get from the mobs, keep it! its needed for quests and crafting.

Aika Online (US) CBT experience
- Aika CBT: Dungeon quest at Marauders, Celestial Caverns -

This game has dungeon runs. And the dungeons are good to go to because of the great equipment drops and it was neccesary to clear all those dungeons quests. Paladins and clerics are the most wanted classes for dungeon runs. Warlocks are useful too~ Warlocks was good at crowd control with the "bunny rabbit" spell~ *snickers*

Aika Online (US) CBT experience
- Aika CBT: Alethius raid at the Rift in Feonir, Rhawn Crossroads -

PK! PK! PK! The most fun part in this game is the PVP. Loads of it. You can PK anyone in any map. Get your asses moving and defend the temples whenever there's an attack. We need to defend the temples! Don't let them get our relics! *RAWR!* From pking (player kills), you get to have honor points and "medal of honor" These medals can be used for the medal quests and the honor points can be used for obtaining honor equipments. *eyes dazzling*

Ah~ There was a Castle Siege event... It was an event where all the guilds in one nation would battle it out to see who will get the title of Lord Marshal. The master of the guild of the winning guild will be the Lord Marshal and the allied guild of the winning guild will be able to receive Archon buffs. During this time, the temples might be vulnerable to attacks, so enemy nations might plan an organised raid during the Castle Siege. So each nation are prepared to protect their relics.

Aika Online (US) CBT experience
- Aika CBT: End of CBT Event at Tabraza Temple, Feonir -

The "End of CBT" event at Tabraza Temple was really awesome! Every nation was raiding into Feonir and there was an all out pk fest~ It was totally chaotic! Woohoo! Then the evil GMs get into the game and started spawning bosses everywhere! We all had to deal with the boars and penguins non-stop. It didn't help my survivability with Meira in front of me, Virgil on my left and Apophis on my right~ Everyone went "wadafak!!!" and was dying to pk, GM killing u, and the bosses spanking ur HP down to zero with one slap! T.T

All in all, it was a fun CBT for Aika Online US. Great job to the GMs and the players alike for making this game a great experience~ ^^

Aika Online (US) CBT

AIKA ONLINE !!!!!

I've been playing Aika Online (US) CBT from GPotato.com and loved it! The Close Beta Test (CBT) was from Feb 3rd (11am) until Feb 9th (9pm) PST.

So far, so good. I would say this is a nice game to play with. My initial impression of the game was "WTF! KILL THE PIGS!" *laughs* The pigs (boars) were the first few mobs that new players had to kill for questing and leveling-up.

I didn't manage to reach level cap (lvl 30) though before the end of CBT1. But it was still fun exploring the games and questing around. Met some old friends in-game. Heheh~ PK-ing is always fun too! :P

Aika Online
Aika is a free-to-play massively multiplayer online role playing game. In its fantasy world, the demon-like Zerecas have corrupted and enslaved the monsters and creatures in the land in their plan to rid the world of all Humans. The goddess Aika created the fairy-like Prans to ally with the Humans against the Zereca. Will the humans and their new allies defeat their evil attackers or be torn apart by internal war?

Besides boasting the standard MMO features like questing, dungeon-running and crafting, Aika is heavily focused on PvP features. Aika is optimized for large scale Nation Wars where thousands of players can fight at one time. In Aika you can: fight for control over your nation during a Castle Siege, attack an enemy nation to capture their magical artifacts to boost your nation's power, and participate in a variety of exciting PvP games in the battlegrounds.

There are a total of six characters to pick from which are Warrior, Paladin, Rifleman, Dual Gunner, Warlock, and Cleric. I picked a Dual Gunner as my main character. I always seem to pick the in-game-gold drainers when I start out to play a game. = = Huhu~ *remembers the time when I started playing as an archer in Pandora Saga*

The story plot is so far interesting and amusing at the same time. The most amusing time i had in Aika involves my Pran (Fairy). There's 3 types of pran elements, which are fire, water and wind. My wind pran asks me the damnest things in the game. The funniest conversations i had with her was when she was worried that I was not eating properly because I was playing Aika too much (wtf! = =)! Sometimes, my pran gives me "presents" too. Yesterday, she gave me a bag of dead moguns! (errrr.... *sweatdrop*)

Now I'm hoping for the announcement for CBT2 or the OB to come out. huhu~ *stalks @AikaOnline*

P/S: There are more Aika Online related videos in this post are from Steparu's youtube channel! ^_^ The videos were made in Aika Online (Taiwan).

Pandora Saga

ELVES! OMG! *fangirling* XD!

Hahaha~! The main thing that attracted me to play Pandora Saga was the elves actually. (i'm such an easy thing to bait if there's elves). After playing this game for quite a while now (since Open Beta started), i've become quite addicted to this game. *laughs*

Hmm, the graphics for the game is really nice. With my previous computer (Scorpio II), all the landscapes had broken light and dark areas and boxy. I couldn't see any mist too. T_T I had to buy a new computer (Sora to Kaze) just to enjoy playing this game at home. =.= (this game pushed me to use my savings to buy a better computer! hahaha!)

Previously i made a post (click click) about Pandora Saga in August. Haha! At that time I haven't got my new computer yet~

Pandora Saga
- Pandora Saga : In Astir Neutral Territory (Central) -

The first place all players start in the game is in Astir Neutral Territory. If you're new to the game, i suggest to do the tutorial quest in the beginning to get some free armor for your character. Well, when i started out this game, I initially made an archer. But as time goes by, my archer was making me spend too much in-game gold, so i started playing a wizard. From then on, i stick to being a wizard throughout the rest of the game. =)

Pandora Saga
- Pandora Saga : Leveling aka. Grinding -

After some leveling (whacking maggots and jackals), you'll end up having to choose which nation to join when you want to change your job (lvl 20). There are a total of 3 nations to choose from, albeit Varik The North Clan Union (Union), St. Pfelstien Kingdom (Kingdom), and Latuga Empire (Empire). When you joined a nation already, you will have a crystal gem next to your name to show which nation you belong to.

Pandora Saga
- Pandora Saga : Varik The North Clan Union -

The North Clan Union was united by a several joint tribal group, most of the tribal came from a common ancestor. The North Clan Union was ruled by the Great Mentors. The North Clan Union commanded on the north side of the land, with neutral and sea resources. The Clan economy remained focused on Agricultural and Fisheries and the sector is still underdevelopment. The clan like to planned surprise attack to other two nations during trade mission. Most of the citizens are farmers and fisherman and these citizens have been trained as combat soldier to carry out assassination mission.

From my view, the environment is really cool. Being in the mountains and constantly surrounded by mist makes the place look like its from the Vampires age or the Victorian age. ^_^

Pandora Saga
- Pandora Saga : St. Pfelstien Kingdom -

St. Pfelstien Kingdom is the Kingdom of Noble Kings. Initially St. Pfelstien Kingdom was ruled by king. The nation was bound with a two-tier ruling system where the Pope holds a great deal of power in the nation. St. Pfelstien Kingdom commanded on the east side of the land, with natural and human resources. Citizen of St. Pfelstien kingdom revolved within the capital for daily society activity, where there is no city outside the capital. St. Pfelstien Kingdom economy remained focused on agricultural and the sector is still underdevelopment because citizen only operates inside the capital. Most citizens in St. Pfelstien were bound with religion, where citizen believe in GOD and this believing has remain as the spiritual pillar of the nation.

Hmm, Kingdom is very lush and greeeeeeeeeeeeen! The scenery in Kingdom is very castle-like. Reminds me of the time of King Arthur and of knights, a very medieval-like theme.

Pandora Saga
- Pandora Saga : Latuga Empire -

The Empire was ruled by the Emperor. The Emperor was nominate by the senate and vote by the public. The Emperor and the senate were two co-equal branches of the empire, where the Emperor controls most of the power . Latuga Empire commanded on the west side of the land, with natural and human resources. Latuga Empire economy remained focused on trading and compared with the other two nations it is very well developed on the commercial sector due to prevailing trade in the territory. Latuga Empire also has the highest develop transportation network among the two nations due to its landmark. As the Empire expanded, people from a variety of cultures join the Empire. The worship of an ever increasing number of deities was tolerated and accepted as long as they willing to contribute and sacrifice to the Empire as a declaration of loyalty to the Emperor.

Empire immediately reminded me of Morroc (from Ragnarok Online). = = The sand-everywhere and the music theme was Arabian-ish. The desert theme makes me imagine that I'm in Baghdad.

Pandora Saga
- Pandora Saga : Epic War (War of 3 Nations) -

When you hit lvl 25, you can join the epic war for your nation. I suggest for you to join the war so that you'll get accustomed to the ways of how to kill and how not to get killed. Because when you hit lvl 30, you can enter Muldia, the Uncivilized District territory. Muldia is the pk map of Pandora Saga. In this map, you can pk (player kill) other nations and gain honor points. Other nation members will appear in RED. You can choose whether to kill them or be in peace mode with them.

There are various sizes of monsters/mobs. There is the Day/Night mob system that makes different types of mobs appear in the same map. The various types of mobs are insect types (ie. maggots), animal types (ie. jackals), flying types (ie. bats), human type (ie. rouges), reptile type (ie. snakes), ghost type (ie. zooplankton), devil type (ie. devils), and undead types (skeletons). Oh and there's the unique boss types too.

Pandora Saga
- Pandora Saga : A certain monster's feet -

This is a picture of the largest (non-aggro) unique boss that I've come across with in Pandora Saga. Even when riding the big horse, I still feel puny standing right next to this boss.

Pandora Saga
- Pandora Saga : Millennium Tree (Mt. Jortio Foothills) -

And its called the Millennium Tree! Haha! This unique boss is very big. You can find it in Mt. Jortio Foothills. I would liked to see a full pt kill this thing and take a screenshot of it. XD

Hehehe~! I've made quite a number of friends in this game. XD Its a good game too. *smiles* Anyways, I'm waiting for the new patch update for the game. Its kinda boring when there's no new updates for the game. =_=

oh well.. *continues with MMO gaming*

:: mmorpg summer ::

HOhohoHO! I've been bitten by the MMO Gaming addiction bug again.

Right now, I'm saving up my money to get a new desktop to fill my gaming computer needs. I've been dropping by Internet Arena, Citymall every now and then just to play Pandora Saga. Well tomorrow there's going to be a PIKOM PC Fair at Sabah Trade Centre. It'll be my chance to survey around the vendors to see which one can give me the desktop specifications I need for my desktop just so that I can play heavy graphic games at the comfort of home. XD Heheh~

Well, about Pandora Saga, Yes, its the current MMORPG of my summer this year. I'm currently leveling up to do a job change to be an archer. Its my first time for to try the "archer" character in a MMO game. Back when I was playing Ragnarok Online (RO), I was a Crusader from the swordsman's class. I tried being a Priest (acolyte) in RO too. It was fun! XD Anyways, I started playing Pandora Saga around the same time MasterMune and Freyra started playing too. Been playing for a while now and I'm desperate for a gaming PC. :P

Pandora Saga
- Pandora Saga -

Okay... What do I think of the game, Pandora Saga? Well, to tell u the truth, I'm addicted to it. ~_~ *sheepish smiles* I like the graphics and the Day/Night system. Its pretty easy to understand the gameplay and you can start questing/killing mobs right from the start. I'm especially attracted to the fact that they have elves! *kawaiii!* The questing part of the game is much more obvious and more rewarding than Ragnarok Online. (Sorry! Can't help comparing here~ :P) Just like any other MMO games, you must have a party/team of players in order to reach certain places and finish certain quests. XD well, I don't have any screenshots of my character but here's some details about my character in the game : shikidez (Elf/Scout). Currently I'm still in Astir, trying to get past Mount Joi. T_T wish me luck getting past the aggressive monsters. *hopeful*

Actually, the MMO game that I'm waiting to try out is Emil Chronicle Online (ECO). Freyra was telling me all these cool stories about ECO that I wanna try it out too. Too bad Closed Beta (CBT) is closed and we're still waiting for Open Beta (OBT) to be opened. *sighs* In the mean time I'll be playing Pandora Saga and killing all the bird-spiders and flesh-eating-spiders. XD

Emil Chronicle Online
- Emil Chronicle Online -

I've been watching a few Youtube videos and reading up some facts about the characters / job classes in Emil Chronicle Online (ECO). I'm thinking of being a Titania character but I can't decide which job I want. I'm still juggling the idea of being a Wizard, a Shaman or a Vates. Warlock seems to have the highest damage points. But warlocks has a very long casting spell time (anonymous source) and that sucks because I like speed. :P Hahah~! Oh well, I'll just have to wait for the Open Beta and experience the gameplay myself. XD

Wargh!! I want a gaming PC! Huhu~ I'm patiently waiting for the end of the month so that I can have enough money to buy myself a gaming PC. XD *must not spend money*

:: confessions of a habbo-holic ::

Hahahaha! ok! ok! >.< (my bad)

Hey hey! I haven't been blogging for like 5-months! Omg! how time flies! @_@ So, coming back suddenly to the blogosphere would warrant an explanation, right? -_-"" Huhu.. Well, here's my "excuse" for disappearing from blogging.

Habbo Home

Its HABBO! Hahahah! Yes! yes! A poor excuse. *LOL* But this pixel-art game is suprisingly addictive. Its wasting time and money! @_@

but... i... can't.... seem... to... stop..... Halp!
*drowns in addicted-to-online-games obsession*

About Habbo
Habbo (also known as Habbo Hotel) is a social networking website aimed at teenagers. The website is owned and operated by Sulake Corporation. The service began in 2000 and has expanded to include 32 online communities (or "hotels"). As of June 2008 over 118 million avatars have been registered. There are an average 8 million unique visitors monthly, and 75,000 avatars are being created every day. The 100 millionth avatar was created on Habbo UK in June 2008.

Source : Wikipedia

Here's a little about why I find this game addictive:
  • Its so easy to register into the game. Its free!
  • You have this option to "brag" about your achievements with the badges system.
  • Its so easy to SMS for credits (just in 3-steps).
    1-Take your handphone,
    2-SMS "Habbo",
    3-Send to "36263" *dies*
  • There are rooms, public spaces and areas that you can visit.
  • There are actual people behind every avatar you meet in the game (an important criteria in every MMORPGs)
  • You get to call people noob!!!! bobba! (hahah! my bad! i find it amusing! XD)
  • Also, the "limited time only!! u miss it, u'll regret it!" deals of game furniture that makes me keep coming back into the game. >.<
  • There's this voucher Habbo Cards thing that if can get your hands on one, you can scratch the codes for extra game furniture. >.< (Popular Bookstore always seem to be sold out on this.)

Okays. That's my take on the Habbo game. I'm hoping my addiction to this game will wane out as time goes by. XD

So, how did I end up coming back to blogging? Well, I have to thank Fara on that. The blogspot projects kind of pulled me back into blogging again. :) Hehehe! Domo Arigato.
